Larissa Lam at the Pre-Grammy Showcase

I had the chance to perform with a fantastic lineup of musicians a couple days before the Grammys at one of LA’s music hotspots, Molly Malone’s. The showcase benefited National Outreach Foundation, Inc. and We Are One Concerts, and included a diverse groups of artists that included David Longoria, April Diamond, Songwriting Shane, Aeone, Diana Barash, Dennis Sy, D. Edward, Grant Maloy Smith, and Annette Conlon.

Larissa Lam Sings National Anthem

I got invited to sing the national anthem at a recent LA Clippers game vs. Minnesota Timberwolves at Staples Center. It was a special Asian Heritage Night that also celebrated Chinese New Year’s. Those of you who follow me know I’m a die-hard Lakers fan but it was still an honor to sing the Star Spangled Banner in front of an appreciative home crowd. You can watch the jumbotron view of my anthem

I was honored to have won the 2015 Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Dance Song for “I Feel Alive.” What an amazing night to win at the same ceremony that one of my songwriting heroes, Diane Warren, also won an award for Best Song in a Film. Other music legends presenting included Verdine White of Earth, Wind & Fire and Musical Director, Rickey Minor. Thanks so much to my production team of David Longoria and Robert Eibach for kicking up my song a notch with their touch.

“I Feel Alive” Nominated for Best Dance Song -HMMAwards

I’m so happy to receive a nomination for “I Feel Alive” for best dance song for this year’s Hollywood Music in Media Awards. It’s such an honor to be recognized. The HMMA not only recognizes indie artists but composers from major films, TV and video games. Last year, Howard Shore (Lord of the Rings, Hobbit) and “Everything is Awesome” from the LEGO movie were big winners.  Looking forward to the awards ceremony at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood, CA.
