I just came back from a historic White House briefing in Washington, DC with Asian American Faith leaders. I was one of about 100 leaders invited to be part of this briefing and a companion Summit. We were able to bring attention to issues affecting the Asian American Pacific Islander community including mental health issues, human trafficking, imprisoned Asian Americans, Kenneth Bae, Matthew and Grace Huang. I also hosted and performed at the AAPI Faith Alliance Impact Awards Gala celebrating people making an impact in Faith and Community. I event wrote a theme song for the Summit. It was an honor to represent those working in the arts and to be a part of this important movement. Here’s a few pix from my trip!
